Just returned from a month long slow travel in Turkey - and fell in love with Istanbul all over again.

Turkey is one of those gems - too "scary" for the average western tourist but an amazing place overall.

One of the greatest places to live for a westerner especially if you are earning a few dollars (2K to 4K USD a month) or have a decent mid-six figures networth.

With the Lira at 26 to a USD, it is really a no brainer.

Totally, I look at the middle class in many western nations moving into a big struggle and genuine viable solutions are to look at these countries for work life balance and quality of life. Many people get a shock when they arrive at how incredible the countries are compared to home any way.
